Club trip to Red Lion, Burnsall – Friday 18th July

The annual trip to the Red Lion at Burnsall has been booked for Friday 18th July.

For those that have not been before, this involves a coach trip from Shipley/Saltaire (leaving Shipley AT 17:30) to Grassington area then a sociable run of 5 – 6 miles (shorter option or walk also available) to the Red Lion at Burnsall followed by a meal. Leaving Burnsall at 23:00 arriving back at Shipley around midnight.

Starters

Home made cream soup
Chicken Liver terrine, Cumberland sauce, toasted granary bread
Baked Portobello mushrooms stuffed with cambazola, walnuts and spinach
Warm fillet of lamb with mushroom and broad bean salad

Mains

Roast Pork, apple sauce sage and onion stuffing
Breast of chicken stuffed with Wensleydale cheese wrapped in Parma ham, leek sauce
Wood pigeon breast, sauteed potatoes, wild mushroom and asparagus
Fillet of cod with a spinach and clam chowder
A seven vegetable spicy Moroccan couscous

Sweets

A light fresh lemon tart, lemon sorbet
Sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream
Eton mess
Crème brulee with strawberries and raspberries

Coffee and mints

Price £30 per person.

Graham Eastell is now taking names, menu choices and money (£30 per person), friends/partners welcome only 53 places available, first come first served – put the date in your diary.
