The John Carr Race

Saltaire Striders has organised a 5k race in memory of John Carr, late member of the club, since 1999.

For many years this took the form of a 5k road race series in late spring, and since 2019 a variety of different race structures have been trialled.

In 2024 the club held a successful trial of a 5k race at Carlton Keighley track: while we will not be able to host an event in 2025, we anticipate a return to this format in 2026 with full race licence.
