Saltaire Striders donation to Ukraine appeal
As with last year, we have a slight excess of funds from the financial year, of £1,000.
Previously we have asked members for suggestions of local and meaningful charities to donate to. This year, given the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, the committee have decided to donate to the appeal that the Bradford Ukrainian Club are supporting.
A blue and yellow donation will be headed their way shortly.

Race Reports
Yorkshire Vets XC Series
Stuart Dunbar & Andy Brown travelled 12/3 to sunny Sheffield for the first stage of the weekend's 'Full Monty' challenge, Saturday afternoon's Yorkshire Vets Cross Country Championships, held in the splendid Norfolk Heritage Park, overlooking the city centre and out towards the Peak District
There they met Suzanne Hague & Josie Briggs, fresh from the Bradford parkrun and here joining a large contingent from Baildon Runners celebrating a member's birthday
Women were off first over a 5k lapped course on grass of predominantly up/down and very little flat! Josie finished 12th FV50 & Suzanne 9th FV55
Men's course over 10k involved more of the same, Andy chasing down the MV50 winner to an agonisingly close 10s to finish runner up, with Stuart claiming the scalp of Greg Hull (running for Leeds) as 6th MV55
Both were left to rue the lack of a 3rd runner, which would have likely resulted in the club taking the overall MV50-59 Yorkshire team title
Congratulations & thanks to YVAA committee members & Steel City Striders for hosting it (could we organise it one year in Bradford?!) with prize giving in the excellent visitor centre including cafe
