Baildon Boundary Way
In very heavy conditions (2 inches of mud
stuck to the bottom of your shoes before even reaching the start line) 9 men and 3 ladies
completed the Baildon Boundary Way the first of the 2006 off-road club championship races.
Andy Hudson ran strongly to finish in 48th and Neill Lloyd completed his 12th consecutive
boundary way in 92nd (now the only competitor to have run every race since it started) and
Nicola Hudson completed her longest race ever more than double her previous longest!
(Nicola if your going to do a half marathon your supposed to pick an easier one than
that!):

Summer 3 Mile Runs
Tuesday 4th April sees the first of this
summers 3 mile runs - held on the first Tuesday of each month. This is a chance to
monitor your progress over the same course throughout the summer and possibly win a trophy
for the most improved runner by the last race in September.
Before the race we are organising a dummy run of the finish arrangements for the John Carr
5k series so if anyone is available to help out then please come down for 6:30.
After the race we have organised a Wine Tasting evening
with cheese and biscuits. A case of 6 bottles of wine will be available for purchase
at £15.

The next few weeks are quite busy with a
number of races available:
Saturday 8th April - Meanwood Valley Trail race
Sunday 9th April - 3rd Yorkshire vets series race at Meltham (bound to be hilly!)
Sunday 16th April (Easter Sunday) Guiseley Gallop - the 2nd off-road race in the club
championship.
Sunday 23rd April - Good luck to everyone from the club taking part in this years London
Marathon.
Sunday 30th April - Rothwell 10k - the 2nd 10k race in this years club championship and
Yorks vets championship.
Wed. 3rd May - the first John Carr 5k Series race inc. the Yorks. vets championship
Marshalls and volunteers will be needed for all 3 John Carr races so if you can help out
in any way for one or all of the races then please don't be shy in coming forward to
volunteer.
