Vets Cross-Country

On the same day as the Dewsbury 10k we had the vets cross-country championships on a very fast course in Bramley Park.  The Ladies were lead home by Louise McGechaen (31st) supported by Helen Love (36th) and Jayne Hart (56).  In the V50 category Pete Pyrah finished 21st with Harry Mcgill 54th.  In the youngsters age category Simon Gelsthorpe lead the way in  56th place one place and 2 seconds ahead of Jack Verity with Pete Huby finishing in 110th.

Yorkshire Vets Series Race 1 - Esholt

A relatively poor turnout on a damp Sunday morning to run a very unimaginative course.  Pete Pyrah lead the way home followed by Jack Verity, Harry McGill, Pete Huby, Helen Love, Mick Twyman and Mike Moss.  After the race Pete Pyrah (1st M50), Diane Craven (1st F40) and Helen Love (2nd F45) were presented with their 2005 series prizes.  http://www.stbedesac.org.uk/pictures.html

Sunday 12th March - Leg 3 Laycock to Silsden
Sunday 26th March - Leg 4 Silsden to Ilkley
Sunday 9th April - Leg 5 Ilkley to Bingley

This is to avoid clashes with races.  Again let me know if you want to do any of them.
