West Yorkshire Winter League

This Sunday (24th Feb.) sees the last of the 2007/2008 West Yorkshire winter league series to be held at Aireville Park in Skipton.  We have not had the best of seasons but it would be nice to finish the series with a strong performance, so come lets have everybody out, even if you've got a hangover from the night before!  The course is 2 laps and will probably be the best running course of the series.  For directions follow the link http://www.stbedesac.pwp.blueyonder.co.for a view of the course  http://www.stbedesac.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Skipton-race-route.pdf.

West Yorkshire Winter League presentation evening

The presenetation evening will take place on Friday 14th March at 7:30 at the Copperbeach club in Baildon.  It looks like Will Kerr will be our only trophy winner this season.  If you would like to attend the do which includes food and disco for the price of £7.50 then please let me know.  Baildon Runners require names and payment by the 7th March.

Trip to Blackpool

Eccleshill Road Runners are organising a trip to the Blackpool marathon and half marathon on Sunday 27th April and St. Bede's members are invited.  I presume they are organising a coach but don't have any details yet of cost but if you are interested then let me know and I'll find out more information.

2008 Club Championship

The club championships for 2008 will be decided over the monthly 3 mile runs throughout the summer.  Prizes will be awarded for the most improved male and female over the series for the road and off-road events.   The schedule will be:

Tuesday 1st April - Road
Tuesday 29th April - Off-Road (brought forward to avoid clashing with the first John Carr 5k)
Tuesday 3rd June - Road
Tuesday 1st July - Off-Road
Tuesday 5th August - Road
Tuesday 2nd September - Off-Road
