http://www.stbedesac.org.uk/wywldesbury.html
We got off to an O.K. start in the first race at Thackley with Will Kerr
finishing 7th and Duncan Asquith 15th but there is room for improvement. Hopefully
for this race the mens team will be strengthened but with Louise McGechaen being injured
and Diane Craven away we need a good turnout from ALL available ladies.
Calder Valley Fell rescue
On Tuesday 4th December Calder Valley fell rescue will be coming to Esholt
to give us a talk on amongst other things recognising the symptoms of hypothermia and what
to do - particularly important with Calderdale Way relay coming up. This will be
after the usual Tuesday training session as about 8:45. We will also be presenting them
with a cheque for £250 from the proceeds of the John Carr 5k series as a thank you for
their help when Will Kerr needed their assistance at last years Calderdale
Christmas Buffet

These are being held in Edinburgh on 30th March 2008 - a chance to see the
best cross-country runners in the world up close.
The plan is to go up to Edinburgh on the Saturday stay overnight (perhaps have a beer or
2) and watch the races on the Sunday returning Sunday evening. There is also an
optional 5k race on the Sunday morning. If you are interested in going please let me
know before Christmas as we need to get some accommodation booked.

6th April. The entries are limited to 400 runners and it will fill up fast so again

Lakeland Trail Series
Fancy something a bit different - these are a great series of trail races which
are very popular and really well organised with entertainment and post race meal.
Andy Hudson has done the Garburn trail and I've done the Coniston trail and was
really enjoyable. Probably half way between a trail race and a fell race, they
are very popular and always fill up before the closing date. http:\\www.lakelandtrails.org
