Oversees trip 2018/2019
This year 15 club runners, together with 9 support crew, set off to conquer the Palma 10k, Half and Full Marathon on 14th October. Unfortunately the Palma heat just about conquered us! Non the less good times were had, both running and socially.

Lindsey Pearson is now looking at options fo next years trip. If anyone has any recommendations for consideration then please e-mail her (though please don’t make recommendations if you have no intention of coming along) .
The consensus following Palma is let’s do somewhere cold/cool. In the past club trips have been to Barcelona, Reyjkavik, Cork, Amsterdam and Budapest, so we are looking for new locations to try and avoid visiting the same city twice. Other criteria will be multi-distance, preferably with 10k, half and full marathon distances, and as we usually do a long weekend, within reasonable travel time.
Suggestions are welcome from previous and potential participants. For those who haven’t been before, it is a very casual affair, we usually do touristy stuff in small groups, keep in touch via a WhatsApp group to arrange meets for ad hoc drinks etc, and have one large group meal on the evening following the races, though there is no pressure to join in any group/planned activity. Individuals and couples will sometimes do their own thing for some or all of the time which is absolutely fine - although it’s a club/group trip, it is also your holiday. We do like to support our fellow club members in their races, and this year we had a good support group of non runners giving us all a shout out and taking photos. The trip is open to club members, and partners are also welcome.
A short list of recommendations will be presented at the AGM.
